History
My interest in Motorcycling goes right back to my teenage years when my Dad brought me my first trail bike when I was 14.
I still own the first British bike I brought, a 1951 Thunderbird, I purchased that bike in the very early days.
I am a member of the Triumph Owners Motorcycle club, I have been Waikato Area Organiser for over 5 years and 3 years as Vice President. I have held the position of National President for TOMCC NZ, a position I have held for 3 years, just recently resigning from this position this year so I can fully commit to the team.

I am also a member of the Pre Unit Triumph club attending their AGM’s on a regular basis. I am also a committee member of the NZ Classic Motorcycle Racing Register. And I was area Chairman for an International Wetland preservation organisation called DU[Ducks Unlimited], I have been involved with this club for over 10 years.

With my interest in motorcycling I found I was a regular attendee to the Classic Festival at Pukekohe and Paeroa Street Races. I found as I got to know more and more people involved in classic racing the bug took hold and the shed had to make way for another bike so I now race in the 350 Clubman’s rounds where I am presently racing against my 16 year old son who has now taken up the sport.

Present/future
My wife and 4 kids have lived in the Waikato area now for 16 years (a new comer really) and over the past few years I have enjoyed helping in the pits to the extent now that I want to be more involved to help these youngsters succeed in a competitive sport.

I see this race team concept being a great learning curve. Following Nick Cole’s progress my interest developed towards the Modern machinery racing at National Level. I have assisted James and Adam over the past year or so and I have really enjoyed the experience and have been impressed with their dedication and commitment.

I was pleased when asked by Graeme to manage the team as I had already indicated an interest in helping these guys.

The future will present several challenges I am sure but the success of the venture will measurable by the increased team and sponsor profile and success on the track of the individuals.
