Well the show has been and gone but it is something that people will talk about for months to come.
I would first like to Thank all those that were involved with setting up the show and in particular Trevor Strapp whose organisation ran like clock work for us all.
Trev was given the task as were all tied up with the National Road racing series and the classic festival at Pukekohe. A phone call from the South Island back to Trev made us feel very confident in his handling of it all. Thanks Trev we all appreciated it.
The display of such a rare collection of bikes in one place was due to the kindness of all our friends and their friends. People were blown away by the variety of such a rare selection and this was our main aim so we were rapt.
Some visitors to the show that stood out were the son and two grandsons
of the owner and rider of the Hamilton 100 wining bike. They posed for
pictures and at the same time a gentleman arrived with the original
program in absolute mint condition.
Many people now know who the Red Devils are and we have had several
emails and phone calls after the show to say thanks we loved it and
when are you going to do another one. Some people after talking to
others that attended are now kicking themselves for not going.
The Red Devil riders all did us proud with their support through out
the weekend and we know that you all felt proud to be a part of this
team which has both Classic and Modern representation.
Thank you to all the people who supported the show and we are pleased that everyone left with a smile.
