The race started with Robbie Bugden, Nick Cole, Craig Shirriffs and Andrew Stroud pulling out a good lead on the rest of the pack with Bugden and Stroud leading from Cole and Shirriffs. This is how the battle played out until the last few laps.

Then suddenly into the barrel comes Stroud followed by Cole. This had the crowds buzzing with speculation as to what had happened to Bugden and Shirriffs, had they come together and come off. With the speakers not working nobody knew what was happening. Stroud suddenly comes to a near halt due to his bike having an electrical miss. Cole manages to avoid collecting him and passes to go on to take the chequered flag ahead of Stroud.

In the meantime Bugden and Shirriffs come into the barrel followed by the rest of the field and they pull in instead of going over the finish line. Turned out there had been a miss communication and a red flag had accidently been shown then pulled in so the officials went back a lap awarding the win to Bugden, Stroud 2nd, Shirriffs 3rd and Cole 4th.

The second race saw Bugden make a blistering start which he lead from start to finish with Andrew Stroud in 2nd. Cole and Shirriffs battled for 3rd but Coles bike tucked under on turn one on the second to last lap and again in turn two forcing him off the track and back on again to finish in 7th. It looked like Shirriffs would then have an easy 3rd placing but unfortunately he crashed out of the race on the last lap and Sloan Frost went on to take the 3rd place.
