Nick will this season compete in the Superbike Class on a ZX10 Kawasaki motorcycle kindly supplied by Kawasaki NZ. They have also supplied Nick with a back up bike for all the rounds. First up will be at Hampton Downs on the 11th December. Joining us as a permanent fixture is Marcus Beagley. He will be competing in the 600 Supersport Class. Marcus came on board last season as a satellite rider to see how it all works and now is officially a Red Devil Team Rider. Also for the Tri Series and for Wanganui Street Races this year Adam (Chambers) will be flying back from Australia to ride in our team once again. It will be good to have Adam back with the boys again. |

Well the show has been and gone but it is something that people will talk about for months to come.
I would first like to Thank all those that were involved with setting up the show and in particular Trevor Strapp whose organisation ran like clock work for us all.
Trev was given the task as were all tied up with the National Road racing series and the classic festival at Pukekohe. A phone call from the South Island back to Trev made us feel very confident in his handling of it all. Thanks Trev we all appreciated it.
The display of such a rare collection of bikes in one place was due to the kindness of all our friends and their friends. People were blown away by the variety of such a rare selection and this was our main aim so we were rapt.

8th January, Teretonga unofficial practise day (rain, rain go away!).It was a great evening last night as Rosanna cooked a roast pork dinner, beautiful it was. Following dinner we had the first team meeting of the trip, discussing the ground rules, expectations and standards required. All the riders had input as to what they personally wished to achieve and Graeme outlined his expectations. The feeling at that meeting was awesome and VERY positive. The boys are fired up and really busting to get on the track. |

Monday 12th January (we survived Aramoana)
We left Invercargill in what looked like rain.
The Boys, Adam, Kurt, Dom, Ashley and Darren headed off to Queenstown to let off some steam on the luge and involved in some raw egg fights with some of the other riders that appeared on the scene.
We made our way back to Dunedin, checked out the train station for Mr Cole and booked a trip for the next day on the Tairere Gorge Train trip. We decided to head to the supermarket then off toward the Otago Peninsula and around past Port Chambers to Aramoana. What a slow twisty narrow road, and with the trailer, what a mission.

Taupo was the venue for the Spectacular races with Red Devil Racing represented by Noel Howe, Stephen Jones, Geoff Long, Rob Chappell on their trusty 3TA Triumphs and Matt Hayward on his 150.
The day was extremely hot and hard work for the spectators watching but they were there to the very end.
The heat simmered of the tarseal and the roar of thunder exploded in the air as the Classic motorcycles moved out to the start line.
