Red Devil Racing Team out front

The NZ Classic Motorcycle Racing Register held  its points championship 30th August and Stephen Jones now leads after two rounds.

Young Matt Hayward was our stand out rider for this event as he was riding Rays (his dad) bike and wanted to prove he was ready to move up to something with a bit more power.

Stephen has shown that patience definitely pays and has gathered the points in nicely to go to the lead in the Championship. See results of our Red Devils below.

Whilst some of our riders have been out of action the rest of the team have kept the flag flying. Thanks and congratulations to you all.

Nick Cole Has Surgery
Nick has had his surgery on his scphoid bone and will be back racing next month at  the Vic Club winter round. He will be racing the new 2009 ZX600 Kawasaki on Dunlop tyres. Some practice will be needed after such a long break.(excuse the pun) and he will also be competing at the Burt Munroe Challenge in Invercargill this November.

Nick Coles Scphoid Bone

Nick Cole finally goes into surgery on the 19th August 2009 to get his scphoid bone screwed back together.

Whilst training at BMX at the begining of April Nick came off his bike and broke his scphoid bone. He has been in plaster ever since.

This has really tested Nicks patience having to keep off his motorcycle and take life at a slower pace. He has however managed to fit in 15 kilometre rides on his pushbike to help keep him fit.

Bike Show a Success

Well the show has been and gone but it is something that people will talk about for months to come.

Trevor Strapp I would first like to Thank all those that were involved with setting up the show and in particular Trevor Strapp whose organisation ran like clock work for us all.

Trev was given the task as were all tied up with the National Road racing series and the classic festival at Pukekohe. A phone call from the South Island back to Trev made us feel very confident in his handling of it all. Thanks Trev we all appreciated it.

The display of such a rare collection of bikes in one place was due to the kindness of all our friends and their friends. People were blown away by the variety of such a rare selection and this was our main aim so we were rapt.
